: What are the materials needed to connect dishwasher to the hot water copper pipe?
: I don't have a food disposer. Can I connect the dishwasher drainage directly to the sink drainage pipe?
You can replace the shut off under the sink with one that has 2 outlets--one for the dishwasher and one for the kitchen sink. This is the best, fastest, easiest method to get water to a dishwasher. Use a stainless steel braided line to run from the dishwasher to the shut off. You will need a 3/8 MIP x 3/8 compression ell to install in the dishwasher. You can purchase a sink drainage piece with a dishwasher tailpiece. Some places require an air gap fitting. If so, you will need to install one. If not, the drain hose must be brought up as high as possible under the counter and secured.
