: : Hi--

: : We have a brand new 50-gal gas hot water heater, and just spent $10K on a new shower and bathroom. We can't even get two hot showers in the morning--the water goes cold during the second shower and this is very frustrating! We have the water heater turned all the way to the hottest setting, which of course, isn't even safe. Before I spend another $1000 on another plumber to fail at fixing this problem, does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

: Since the WH is brand new it is guaranteed by the manufacturer, usually parts (1) year and the tank (5), (6), (10), (12) years. Call the installer to confirm the WH is operating properly. It appears that you are depleting the amount of HW storage, do you have a shower head that disperses only 2.5 gallons per minute or has it been altered? There could be several reasons for your troubles.

Thanks. The shower head definitely disperses the right amount--already checked that. The hot water heater passed installation inspection by our town. What are some other things that could be wrong?
