|In response to Re: Ejector pump works instead of the sump.|
: I recently installed an ejector pump along with the new bathroom in the basement. I already had a regular sump pump with a back-up sump powered by a battery. Since last week the ejector pump has been kicking in even without the bathroom being used. I found that the water from the ground has been seeping into the pit through the seal.
: Is this something I need to fix or let it be? Thanks.
Mel, you should try to find the source of the water coming into this pit like a possible broken water main?
Hopefully you did not disturb the water table with the new bathroom add on.
Having pumps cycling on and off will cost you in the long run.
