I went through my apprenticeship in the 70's. I had the pleasure of working with plumbers who did care about the job and plumbers who cared about the money. I listened to the guys who cared about the job. Anyone can make money in plumbing by scamming people. It's the real plumbers that come behind you that fixes the problems caused by plumbers just wanting money.

You should just sit back, read and re read the messages trying to understand what is going on. (if you know how to actually do the math - GREAT) Otherwise, be a good student and try to learn.
