: and we are getting smelly water. Its a 80 gallon electric and Ive searched all over it fot the anode rod.Anyone familiar with this particular model ?I dont know If I ever associated the smell with the Hot water tank before reading this board but now I do and I want to fix it..next will be a discussion on RO units Thanks Jon Reply: If you use well water, have the treatment system checked by a pro to make sure it's operating up to it's potential for your water conditions. As for the 31 year old A.O. water heater, I would seriously consider replacement sooner that later, get a couple of estimates. e-plumber
