: I've removed a fiberglass tub/shower unit and am installing a shower w/ fiberglass pan. The floor is concrete and a box was installed before the pour to facilitate the tub P-Trap. I need to move the drain to the center of the enclosure(about 20").

: Here is my question: Does the shower P-Trap need to be directly under the shower drain or can I install it in the area designated for the bath P-Trap? Thanks for your consideration.

You can get a shower pan that has an end drain.
They make them to replace tubs.
If you get a center drain, you will need to break out some concrete and move the p-trap.
