|In response to Re: Adding gas lines for range, dryer, fireplace, and garage heater|
Just a followup...
I've since talked with the county building inspectors and the gas company... I was kinda dreading these calls (I was imagining the county's response as something like "Heck no you can't do that yourself! In fact, just for asking we'll be inspecting your place every ten days for unauthorized modifications for the next year!" :-)
In reality, the county said "um, we don't care about gas work. Perhaps the gas company does?" :-) The gas company guy was very helpful (I had some specific questions about whether or not the service meter would need to be replaced given the additional load, whether or not unions were allowed in exposed use, etc.)
So, I'm all good to go. Thanks for the advice and such!
