: : What is the difference in a stack stack as opposed to a vent stack?
A VENT STACK is a vertical pipe instaled primarily for the purpose of providing circulation of air to and from any part of the drainage system Either one should be increased to at least 4" to prevent hoarfrost in certain areas and ideally you would want a Fresh Air inlet FAI installed 6" above grade and should also be half the diameter of the building house drain but in no case less the 3". Hey no one said its easy :-( |
