: Is the Fluidmaster seal a better solution to use over a ceramic tile than wax rings. I had the same plumber out twice and still have seepage through the wax he added to the old wax. The toilet is held down with two brass wood screw/machine screw studs through the flange. Flange bolts were not used because the plumber said the flange is damaged but it should hold.

The Fluidmaster can be a good solution. It is like a funnel going into the drain.
I use both types of installation, Either stacked wax seals, or at times the Fluidmaster.
Another way, would be to get "stack-on flange raisers" and bring the level up.
