Replacement of flanged parts to hot tub motor

I am having trouble geting parts to repair a connection to an aqua jet bath, inc motor. The 2 5/16 inch OD connections (both inlet and outflow) developed split nuts which alas, caused duh! The inlet is a 5" elbow and the outlet is a T reducer from 1 5/8 inches to the 2 5/16 inches. The depth of the threads on the motor is only 5/8 inch. All newer connections are much deeper than that. The problem is the O-rings that need to be tightened flush to the flat part of the motor inlet and outlet. Any ideas? Can I use flexible PVC? I will have to cut out the T and the elbox to fix this, because of the flanged connections that have built-in nuts.
Thanks for your help, Craig
