domestic hot water -- radiant floor heating

I have an unused domestic hot water heater. I also have a room that I feel could benefit from radiant floor heating. Since my main heat system in the house is steam, I am unable to just add a zone to the boiler. Would it be possible to utilize the unused domestic hot water heater to heat the water .radiant floor heating? I was thinking it would eliminate the need for mixing valves and just really require a thermostat and circulator pump.
