: I HAVE A NEWER HOME WITH A BASMENT. MY SEWER PIPE GO'S
: INTO THE BASEMENT FLOOR. DO I NEED AN EJECTOR PUMP.IF NO, DO THEY MAKE A TOILET THAT DRAINS INTO THE WALL. SO I CAN PUT AN PVC ELBOW ON THE MAIN DRAIN PIPE AND BOLT IT TO THE WALL. ?
: THANKS TOM
It appears that your drainage system gravity drains and if you do not have an ejector now, you do not need one. They do make back outlet toilets. However, there is more to it than putting in a PVC elbow and bolting the toilet to the wall. The toilet MUST be vented. The venting rule appries to every plumbing fixture installed. The vent must extend up and through the roof or tie in with another vent 6" above the flood rim level of the highest fixture. This will need to be permitted and inspected.
