|In response to Re: Sanitary Tee vs. Vent Tee|
: Please excuise my noviceness of plumbing. I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Why would a "WYE" work in this situation? There is a horizontal run of drain pipe and he wants to add a vertical pipe for a vent. This seems to me that a 90 degree angle is needed to solve this. A "sanitary tee" would achive a 90 degree. A wye would extend off the horizontal drain line at a 45.
Hey WET HEAD think of it as a WYE Stainer used for heating. NOT the run but on the blow down part (45) you install a street 45 or nipple and 45 THERE is your 90 again correct?
See speaking your language now huh makes it easier a WHY and 1/8th bend is the same thing as a 90
