: My house is 15-year-old. I recently flushed the upstairs toilet and, while the water rushes out, nothing is coming back in. This seemed to have happened overnight. No leaks, no clogs (and the water is turned on). The rest of tyhe toilets are fine. Is it possible my roof vent has become clogged? (Lots of trees and squirrels in my neighborhood Drainage and water systems are completely seperate systems. A vent will never be the cause of not getting water to a fixture.
The most likely problem is the fill valve.
