In response to Re: SEWER GAS IN UTILITY ROOM
: I have a 3 bedroom 1 bath house with a utility room with a washer, a dryer and a water heater. The toilet has to be flushed a couple of times to clear and just revently the utility room has sewer gas in it. My vent pipe is made of 1-1/2" pvc. I can't tell if it is obstructed. Any suggestions?

The vent pipe is most likely not obstructed. Check if a floor drain trap in the utility room has dried up causing the odor. Also check to make sure there is not a sewer clog and all clean-out plugs are secure.
Good Luck. e-plumber
