:I just finished my shower out of stone / river rock with a waterfall in it. I used a snail / doorless design. The " curb " for mine is about 1.25inches about. If you want to see what it looks like do a searh for " Log Homes on the Internet " or LHOTI. In the forum section got to questions and anwser section. Do a search for " Snail/ Doorless shower. There are several pictures of the build process. Hello All, : I am doing a bathroom remodel and am currently working on rebuilding the shower. : I have built the curb out of three stacked 2x4s and floated with mortar. I have floated the shower floor with a slope of 1/4" per ft. When all is said and done I have about 1 3/4" from the shower floor to the top of the curb. This seems a little low to me. I am using stone, so I don't have any requirements to get a 'full tile' look to the curb. : 1) Is there a standard/minimum height that a curb should be on the inside? : 2) If my curb is too low, can I add more mortar to the curb to build it up a little higher, or would there be stability issues with adding mortar on top of mortar that has already cured? : Any advice much appreciated. : Heather
