Back fill of sewage pipes

Hi, I am replacing some old iron pipe between my house and septic and then out to the dry well. The pipe is dug out and schedule #40 has been purchased to go in. My question is about the back fill. Should I fill around the new pipe with sand or screened aggregates or just back fill with dirt? I had a blocked line between the septic and dry well and want to do both pipes before I install a deck over the line between the house and septic. Thanks for your help, Bob in Maryland
