These are older than that! My dad had them on our ranch when I was a kid, and I'm 69 now. I kept them because there is much demand for manual galvanized/iron pipe threading dies. They haven't been used too much, inspite of their age. The 3/4" works great, but the 1/2" won't start the cut. It may be the outside diameter of the pipe is a tad oversize, I want to get some other pieces to try to check that theory. I don't use these more than once in 10 years, but this is the 10th year. Hand threading is a real chore, but it sure beats running to a hardware or plumbing store everytime you need to thread a pipe. If it is the die at fault, I'll just need the cutters.
