WE cannot tell you because we do not have any idea what kind of pipe you have. You may have to call a plumber to see if the wrong pipe was installed, or if the right pipe was put in but was damaged. : I'm installing a toilet in the basement that already has a 3 piece rough-in, accessible through jack-hammer only. I tried to fit a 3 inch toilet flange into the pipe but it's just a little to big, I then tried a 4 inch flange on the outside and it's way too big. Now that leads me to believe that it's the pipe which is different from other 4 inch pipes I've seen because it has "humps" all around the interior of the pipe, slight but uniform all the way around. Is there pipe like that around and do I have to replace it to get a toilet flange installed or is there another way.
