My recommendation is to get a different plumber. The tank will not be available but replacement wall hung, (or back outlet if that is what you really have), toilets are, and they will require no change in the plumbing.
: 28 years ago, a wall mounted toilet(outflow not going down through the floor) with the outflow going straight into the basement to the septic tank was installed in my home. The tank hoding water to fill the bowl once it was flushed, cracked.Replacement tank is not available per the "plumber" hired to install new hardware. To replace the whole thing would require ALOT of new plumbing! What is your recommendation?
