Soft copper can be, but your heating element is hard copper and very thin hard copper at that. : : If you try to oversize it, it will probably stretch and tear. : Thanks again, hj. I seem to have misunderstood. I was under the impression that soft copper could be swaged to fitting size so that sections could be joined without couplers. : I'll take your implied suggestion and simply swage it back to round. Thanks, as always, for your sage advice.
