In response to Re: water supply rough-in on Totos
: Thanks for your wonderful site. You have convinced me to get a Toto but with a 14" rough-in, a very small amount of space (behind a door) and a demand for good quiet flushing, I am pretty much limited to the Vespin. On the Toto website, however, the Vespin has a Special Note: "Water supply rough-in is wider than standard 5-1/2" rough-in. Consult your builder". What exactly does this mean in the context of replacing a 1st floor toilet in an 80-year old house? Thanks.

If the Vespin model toilet comes with the unifit adaptor & skirt, the water line needs to stub out of the wall 7-1/2" (I believe) off center to the left of the closet flange.
