Yeah, I'm following-up on my own followup :) I just came to realize that the original setup is not to code, in that the vent is upstream of the bend. What I need to do is put in a wye, connect a toilet bend to the straight line, and use 45's to jog around the bend to the vent side, which will place the vent properly. Do you folks think I can do this as a full glue-up? : : : : You should have used 2 ferncos. I wouldn't leave a gap like that. : : He couldn't legally install a san tee if it was going to be inspected, and you should not have used one either. The pipes should be cut square and the inserted piece should fit tightly to the existing pipe. A Fernco is also not the proper/legal coupling to use either. : OK then, what should the coupling and fitting be?
