|In response to Re: Good way to hide water shutoff and cleanout access?|
: I need to provide access to my main water supply shutoff and cleanouts in a finished room. I would prefer to have the access as least noticeable as possible. I've heard to place a cold-air return grille or vent grill so it's looks like part of the HVAC system. Or cover with a picture.
: Does anyone have any creative tips that you've seen in place out in the field?
Oatey makes a plastic frame and cover that will take paint. Under wallpaper they're even less noticable, especially mounted fairly low on the wall. In some circumstances, the frame can be mounted backwards, with the flange inside the wall, so the only thing that shows is the cover.
Lowes had them the last time I was there.
