Sometimes can take a minute or two to pick up. I have also found that there are times I will prime it let it run for about a minute and then reprime. Possibly repeating several times.

: Can someone explain step by step on how to prime a water pump. I understand you have to fill the pump with water, but what I don't know how to do is bleed the line( get the air out so the pump can catch). Thanks
