There are many elements to consider in tankless installation. Among them: Proper gas pipe sizing and commercial gas flex, require special stainless steel flue and special temp./Pressure releif valve, proper combustion air or outdoor mount.
Use only a professional who has been trained and/or in the case of Rinnai, the units cannot be bought unless the person has a certificate. There are many things that can go wrong without installation training.
Generally, there needs to be an outstanding need for large amounts of hot water.
Modern units modulate very well for flow demands, generally three showers at the same time.
