Joe, What Deb says is true. I would just make sure that there isn't a p-trap already installed. Installing the tub on a platform would allow you to trap it rather easily. Greg : I want to install a bathtub on a cement basement floor. The drain pipe is 2" and goes directly into the floor. How can I install the tub right on the cement fllor and catch the drain? Common sense tells me that I must bust up and remove the cement and make a path from where the drain comes out of the tub and go deep enough for a "P" trap. Is this correct? or is there another way? Thanks
