In response to Re: Rubber Gasket Installation - Bathroom Sink
: I've purchased a pop-up kit for a new sink, but the rubber gasket does not fit into the hole. The sink was custom made...I don't know if the gasket is too big, the hole in the sink too small, or if there's just something I don't know about installing it! Can anyone help? Thanks.

Most, if not all pop-up assembly rubber gaskets are made to fit all basins. Is it possible you are trying to install it from the top? Most flanges, (the top part) have putty/silicone applied to the underside of the flange. The rubber gasket is slipped over the shank (from the bottom) that passes through the basin. The nut is then tightened and the rubber washer should compress as the nut is tightened to create a water tight seal.
Good Luck. e-plumber
