: All of a sudden the water flow from our kitchen sink (single handle faucet) is much slower than usual--the water used to come out so fast that you had to cut back on the flow. I took the nozzle off and cleaned the gunk out (we have hard water and no softener). I also quit running any water for about an hour and the dial on the water meter didn't move (I'm thinking this means no leaks). Seems like the rest of the house is like normal (shower, bathroom sinks are fine and toilets all flush as they did. Do you think there might be hard water build up somewhere else in the faucet itself? If so, any ideas where?

The aerator is a good place to start.
The next place to check is at the water supplies.
If you have good water there, it could be in the valve itself. Removal and inspection could help, or the stoppage can be farther down too.
