Adding air to the tank will not help your problem but will create a worse one. Your pressure is close enough to the settings, gauges and switches are not always 100% accurate. Push the BYPASS button and see if the pressure changes. If so the pressure loss is in the softener. : : : I recently installed a waterboss 700 watersoftener.
