In response to Re: Main Line Cleaning
: I was looking to use one of the sulfuric acid-based main line cleaners in my very old system. On the warning label it stated that since it dissolves all organic material you need to be careful since organic material may be sealing leaks that you want to stay sealed.

: I know I have at least a couple of small cracks in my clay line. Is there really a risk of opening up all kinds of new leaks using one of these products?

: Thanks

Anything acid-based is absolutely the wrong thing to use for any type of drain clog/restriction. Besides the fact that it harmful to whatever it comes in contact with, it is also a waste of money.
Have the problem drain snaked and cleaned by a professional, a good drain cleaning will last many years under normal conditions.
