Sometimes wrapping it with a rag soaked in boiling water will soften it. You may have to repeat the wrapping several times before the pipe gets warm enough depending on the pipe size. : Whats the best way to make the plastic line that comes in from the well workable.As you plumbers know its very hard and I need to remove a fitting and then replace it when Im done with the project.I have been told to heat it up with a torch but Im a little leary of this.I have seen a plumber do this and the pipe cracked..what other methods work to soften it or make it more pliable?
