|In response to Re: water heater properly drained?|
: : When you drained the tank, did you open a hot water faucet? If not, you have an air lock that is holding the water in. The bubble sound is a small amount of air that is get in through the drain valve, but it would take forever to get enough air to drain the tank at that rate.
: reply: I just open my pressure release vavle when draining my tank.
Yes, I did have a hot water faucet opened. Still, very little flow through the drain value...then every once in a while, I hear a bubble in the tank, indicating there is still water... but nothing draining out. There is a little sediment coming out, but nothing that would indicate a blockage.
Any other ideas?
