Occassional toilet clog

Our first floor toilet clogs occassionally. It is easily unplugged with a plunger and service appears to return to normal. This has been going on for over six months. While I suspect the cause is tied to a 'new' user [arrived in Aug.], I cannot be sure. The clog occurs after others use the toilet. If it is not user caused, what are other possible causes. I would like to get this resolved before calling in a plumber.
