In response to Re: Relocating a kitchen sink
: I want to move my kitchen sink from the center of the north wall of my kitchen to the northwest corner of the room. The total move is about 36-40 inches. I then want to install a dishwasher in the space where the sink is now. Directly behind the existing sink is the sewer vertical pipe deal. Can I run a lateral drain line from the new sink's location to that, or do I need to relocate the sewer line/vent stack?

Depending on the pipe size would determine what exactly needs to be done concerning relocating the sink drain. You can cut across horizontally, rise up and stub out for the drain, continue up to 42" above the floor and double back and tie the vent in to the stack. If the DW is going to be next to the KS, tie it in under the sink cabinet.
Good Luck. e-plumber
