In response to Re: Sump Pit leak
: Hello,
: I have a 2" hole on the bottom of my clay tile sump pit. I tried to patch it with hydraulic cement, but I'm still getting leaks around the lower rim. Does this mean that a replacement pit is needed? The pump is still working. I'm getting about 1 1/2 gal per hr into the pit from ground seepage.

I guess you could look at it two ways:
1.) You're removing ground water (which is good) that normally wouldn't be removed if there wasn't a hole in the sump.
2.) The pump is working overtime and you may want to keep a spare on hand. It appears you're on a high water table.
Good Luck. e-plumber
