In response to Re: Drilling an extra hole in a cast iron sink
: We have a 4 hole cast iron sink and a faucet that requires 4 holes, so including the dishwasher air gap would require 5 holes. Is it possible to successfully drill a fifth hole? What's the best way to go about it? Is there another option for the air gap?

: Thanks

Does your plumbing code require an air gap?
If it does, drilling the countertop is an option. I have seen holes saws drill C.I. sinks but you're taking a chance on damaging the enamel finish if it chips.
Good Luck. e-plumber
