In response to Re: Bar of soap in toilet
: My daughter (bless her) decided to flush a bar of soap down the toilet and it got stuck. I tried plunging it and it didn't come out so I removed the toilet. I couldn't feel it from either end with my hand (in gloves) but was able to dislodge it from the bottom with a 12" stick. I still couldn't reach it from the front. I tried to snake it from the front with a 1/4" snake to no avail and It has mostly blocked the trap. Any ideas on how to dissolve it or how to remove it? It's an older rear trap gravity flush if that helps...

If the toilet is still disconnected, flip it end over end carefully not to disturb the close coupled kit. The bar may just fall out, (from the bowl, the way it went in).
There really is nothing to dissolve the soap. Another thing you can try is to turn the toilet over so the outlet is facing up, use a toilet auger to snake it from the bottom and dislodge the soap.
Good Luck. e-plumber
