In response to Re: New Moen shower fixtures and can't adjust water volume
: Hello, any help would be appreciated. We recently had our shower fixtures (taps, faucet etc.) replaced. Previously, we were able to adjust the volume of water that came out of the shower. However, with the new installation, the water comes out at an extremely heavy volume and cannot be reduced. We never had a hot water problem before, but because of the volume of water, we can only use the shower for about 20 minutes until all our hot water is used up. In the past, the shower could be used by multiple family members for hours without this problem.

: Just wondered, is it likely the type of fixture we had installed and will we likely have to replace the new shower fixture with one that allows volume control? Inside the thing we pull on to turn the shower on and adjust the temperature I can see a long screw. I was wondering if it might be possible to adjust this screw so we can control the volume of water?

: any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Your faucet has only a temperature control not volume. The new faucet should have come with a 2.5 gallon per minute shower head which should not deplete the hot water so quickly. There are different shower heads available that can restrict the flow rate even more than 2.5 gpm.
Good Luck. e-plumber
