You could have either a horizontal stub that you have to install a trap on, or a trap without a riser. In this area the inspectors require that the traps be installed before they will approve the installation. : I have an ICF home with Hydronics in all slabs. My basement has been roughed-in for a shower. Water supply is in place but I am confused by the drain. Right now it appears it is just a void in the concrete framed with 2x4's (square, top of 2x4 flush with the surface of the floor and about 10"x10") Expandable foam has been placed into the hole. Should I expect a drain under there or have they just given me a pit. I expected to see a drain stub, not a hole. : Thanks in Advance.
