In response to Re: bath tub spout problems
: I am trying to replace an old crane bath tub spout. The shower diverter pin has broken off because of rust. I tried to unscrew the spout counterclock wise, but it didn't budge. It doesn't have a screw on the bottom of the spout, so i guess that it is not a slip on??? I am a fraid of damaging the piping behind the walls. Is their any suggestions on how to get this sput off???

: thank you for any help!!!

If it were a slip on, the hole for the set screw would be very small and close to the wall on the bottom. It is probably just stubborn, use caution and turn it with steady force, it should give. Purchase an exact replacement.
