: The Delta faucet in the bathroom sink was leaking.When I took it apart I found ther was no rubber washer, only a flat piece of metal. I bent the metal piece just a bit with a screwdriver and put it back together and it does not leak, at least for now. Is this the proper way to repair this type of faucet? Reply: The metal piece sounds like it is a part from the stem that became detached. If that's the case, I would replace both stems, seats and springs. Delta replacement parts are very common.
