I'm replacing a Jacuzzi tub with a center drain and need to remove the old tub first. I can see how to disconnect the water and electrical, but I can't figure out how to disconnect the drain connection so I can lift the tub out. Since the center drain is against the wall, the only access is from the top. It is a trip lever drain, and I can easily remove the trip lever, rod, and drain plug. But I can't figure out how to remove the drain connection itself. I'm a bit afraid to use "brute force" to try to unscrew it from the top because I'm not sure that's the right way. Any ideas? Thanks!
