My wife and I have had a fiberglass reinforced acrylic tub for about a year now (BainUltra Thalassa 5.5 foot air jet tub). Naturally, more money usually indicates better quality. I like the tub, but honestly, I'll be impressed if it lasts more than 10 years, although BainUltra gives it a 20year warranty. If you choose an acrylic unit, just make sure you support it adequately beneath and around the edges.
