: : : Came home the other day to find I had no water. I checked the "Square D" Pumptrol switch and found the contacts were shot. I manually activated it and the pump did work - so I replace the Pumptrol switch with a 20-40. I'm getting water but not at the same presure as before. Do I need to add air to my Xtrol (bladder) tank? If so how is that done? : : RICH; Drain the pressure tank (shut Pump power off first)... With a bike tire pump(or other type) put in air so that it is 2 psi below the cut-in pressure. Note; your new 20/40 control can be adjusted for a higher pressure if necessary (30/50), but for now see how the 20/40 works with 28 in the tank. Hube : :I think Hube meant pump 18 into tank but I could be wrong--mathwhiz MATHWHIZ; Your right, I should have said 18. Must of been thinking of my own setup. Thanks, Hube |
