|In response to Re: Reliance water heater conversion from natural to propane|
It is possible, but since it could be more expensive than installing a new water heater, it is usually not recommended. First you would have to purchase an LP thermostat, and since it has left hand threads on the burner tube, you would also have to purchase the burner tube, orifice, LP pilot assembly and burner. The only thing you would not have to change would be the tank, and that could start leaking next week if it is a fairly old heater.
: Is it possible to convert a reliance heater from natural to propane, and if so, how?
