|In response to Re: Rheem Hot Water Heater - Burner Can't Stay Lit|
: I have a 75-gallon Rheem Hot Water Heater Model #21VP75E-1 installed in June of 1995. For the last few years, the burner will not stay lit. It lights, burns for a few seconds and then cuts out. It lights again and then repeats the cycle. It will eventually heat the water but it takes a long time. There is no recovery time. Plumbers have replaced the control board, sensor, igniter, etc. to no avail. I have checked the vent pipe to make sure it's clear and that there's adequate ventilation. Any ideas?
