Leave it alone. Nothing will happen to it in that short period. Now if it was to be off for a month or two, then you would turn the gas off. : Just had to have the main water line to the house turned off, pipe broke underneath. Repair can't get here until about noon or so tomorrow (@12 hours from now). Do I need to turn off the gas and extinguish the pilot light to the water heater or is it okay to leave on until repairs made? Don't have a clue.
