In response to Re: Rushing Running Water sound in pipe
: I bought and older house that has all copper piping. Whenever you flush the toilet from the second floor you hear a rush of water that sounds as if it is coming through the wall pipe. Could this be an insulation problem in the wall on the second floor? If so would I need to do anything more than insulate and sheetrock the wall? Thanks in advance for your help.

It is probably drainage water. Although insulating can help some, if I was going to open up the walls to insulate the pipes, I would change out the drop to cast iron. You cannot believe how quiet it is.
