If I understand your question properly, you can test anything you want, as much or as little of the installation at any time. Just cap or plug any loose ends and put a pressure test on the section you are concerned about. : I am in the process of installing a gas heater and gas cook top stove. What I would like to know is there a way to leak test fittings before they are installed? : A few of the connections will be in inaccessable locations after I install ALL of the piping, and I would like to test those fittings first, the other fittings I will check after installation. : (one example is (2) 90 degree elbows with a 4" long pipe connection that will be behind a (tile)wall with almost No crawl space under that part of the house)
